HOLOCAUST - No Mans Land CD

Holocaust almost split up after the release of the EP "Coming Through", the only holocaust recording no to feature John Mortimer and having a much more commercial aproach tha the previous albums. As Mortimer explained : "Myself and Nicky wanted to go further down the metal road. We wanted to increase the degree of abstraction from the hard rock roots of metal. In particular we wanted to write heavier songs and experiment with extremes of tempo. The other three guys were going on the opposite direction towards the Van Halen and Aerosmith type of thing. So we were fighting amongst ourselves over metal and hard rock. Shoul it be a 'Death or Glory' type future or 'Smokin' Valves' type future? Eventually the others decides to chuck us out, and Phoenix Records went with Gary, Robin and Ed and 'Coming Through', and the rest is history."
