ZEUS - Zeus V LP
Zeús was a band from Barcelona that started in 1984 with Félix Bustillo "La Voss" (vocals), Francisco Heredia "Fran Facas" (guitar), Ramón Martínez "Giovanny" (guitar), José Antonio Pérez (bass) and Santiago Rovira (drums). After recording several demos, they decided to self-finance a single that contained the songs 'Dama de hierro' and 'Buscando acción' recorded at Gemma 2 studios in Barcelona, to become known on the national rock scene. The album was released in 1983 by Justine Records, produced by Patrick Boissel.
The group underwent several changes in its line-up with the addition of a keyboard player (Manuel Manovents), a second guitarist (Javier Puertas) and a change of drummer (Pepe Martínez).
In this way they recorded their first and only full-length album, an album entitled 'V' which was released in 1987 through A&M Records with the songs 'Síguenos', 'Gritos en la oscuro', 'Mucho más amor', 'Quizás no sea tarde', 'Lucifer', 'Una vez más', 'Ángel o diablo', 'Atrápalo', 'Soy fuerte' and 'Venganza'. In 1988 they dissolved. According to Bustillo, the band dissolved in 1987, after editing the album, due to lack of promotion, and not covering sales, something that usually happens, and more so in Spain in the eighties.
Audio remastered by Francisco Heredia, includes a fanzine with the lyrics and photos from the time (reviewed by Felix Bustillo)
